OLNEY SPRINGS -- Mark McKinna said he wouldn't have hired on as warden of the new private prison here if it hadn't met the standards he's used to.
McKinna spent 23 years with the Colorado Department of Corrections before retiring as regional director in August. He served as warden of several prisons and worked on the design and development of San Carlos Correctional Facility, the state's new prison for mentally ill inmates.
