WOLF CREEK -- The fickle snow gods still smile on the Pitcher family and the ski resort they own and operate near the top of Wolf Creek Pass.
On Monday afternoon, Roseanne Haidorfer-Pitcher pointed out all the pine trees alongside the Wolf Creek Lodge whose tops had been snapped off by heavy, early-season snow. Welcome to Colorado Snow Central for December 1998, a 74-inch base at Wolf Creek's 12,000 foot summit.
``Our skier visits are up 90 percent over this time last year,'' said Haidorfer-Pitcher, marketing and sales director. ``We're doing extremely well.''
