OBITUARY
DOT-COM, Guy. Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Calif., died Nov. 30, 2000. Causes of death included overexposure, hype and excessive risk-taking. Guy Dot-com will be fondly remembered for his flat-front khakis, french-blue dress shirt (worn open at the neck, with white T-shirt underneath), chunky Kenneth Cole shoes and his favorite wide black belt with a brushed silver buckle. Sadly he will be remembered, too, for his indifference to dress codes, profits and traditional corporate structures. He loved "the start-up."
