Can any location beat the mountains for Fourth of July fireworks?
``Heck no,'' says Kelly Howard, director of special events with Silver Creek Resorts. ``We had to change the location from last year, and the fireworks will be even more spectacular with the mountains in the background.''
She says Silver Creek is spending more money this year on its July 3 fireworks show to complement the newly relocated WestFest, a festival featuring big names in country music.
For a grass-roots approach in Victorian-style, Breckenridge is offering its take on the holiday event a day later.
