Sunny days. Chilly nights. No wonder people love the mountains in summer. And so do flowers, which soon will be on display in several high-country garden tours.
``A lot of people feel the colors of mountain gardens are more brilliant because of the climate. The flowers seem to like and respond to it,'' says Nancy Young, development director of Vail Alpine Garden Foundation, a co-sponsor with Colordo Ski Museum of the First Annual Vail Garden Tour July 12.
Alpine gardens have several distinct features, says Young.
