La Salle Partners plans to build a much-needed six-story, 600-space parking garage along the 16th Street Mall next to the U.S. Bank Tower, which the company bought last year.
Construction on the $11 million garage, which will include 20,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor facing the mall, should begin in early fall and open in the summer of 1999, said Jim Creighton, principal of La Salle.
