Before baseball's current stars come out at Coors Field for the 69th All-Star Game, the stars of tomorrow will open the new Coca-Cola All-Star Park on Tuesday morning in Lakewood.
All-Star Park, located at West Alameda and South Harlan streets, is a replica of Coors Field that opens before the night classic at Coors Field.
The Colorado Rockies helped in funding the project that was started by the Gold Crown Foundation. The resemblance to Coors Field is uncanny, from the brick facade to the outfield scoreboard.
