With everything I've read about the Year 2000 problem, I figured I had better cover all my bases. So I ventured in to my neighborhood Catholic bookstore, looking for an image of the patron saint of computing to put on my PC.
Much to my astonishment, I found no patron saint of computing.
St. Elmo is the patron of fireworks, St. Andronicus the patron of silversmiths, St. John Bosco the patron of editors. There is a patron saint of publicists, for heaven's sake (St. Bernardine of Siena).
Ever get stuck on an idea? That's what happened to me.
