SANTA FE -- Duck through an old wooden gate on Canyon Road and you leave behind the bustle of the art gallery district. Inside the courtyard, the shade of an apple tree cuts the 90-degree heat, as does the flowing water of the Acequia Madre, or ``mother ditch'' of Santa Fe that dissects the property.
On one side of the garden is a 300-year-old adobe house; on the other is the design studio and showroom of fashion designer Michael Robinson.
