ST. LOUIS - Brett Hull made a quiet return to St. Louis on Monday night, going scoreless in the Dallas Stars' 4-2 exhibition loss to the Blues.
Hull, the Blues' leading career scorer, signed a three-year free agent deal with the Stars in July. He got his lone shot on goal during a two-man advantage with about 5 1/2 minutes to play, but Jamie McLennan made a pad save on the shot from the left side.
Lubos Bartecko, 22, a prospect likely destined to play in the minor leagues, scored two goals in a 1:53 span of the second period for the Blues.
