NEW JERSEY SAVINGS AND LOAN INTERSTATE REGION ESTABLISHED
TRENTON, N.J., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- New Jersey's savings and loan interstate law has become operative on a regional reciprocal basis effective today according to New Jersey Banking Commissioner Mary Parell. The New Jersey law allows federally or state chartered associations insured by either the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC) or the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and savings and loan holding companies, to engage in interstate acquisitions on a reciprocal basis with like associations located in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
