A year ago, Clint Hurdle became the first hitting coach to return for a second season with the Colorado Rockies.
This time around, Hurdle will be the only holdover on the staff of new Rockies manager Jim Leyland.
Hurdle will join a staff that includes five coaches who are following Leyland from Florida, where he managed the past two seasons, according to sources close to the Rockies.
Milt May, who has been the hitting coach for Leyland in Pittsburgh and Florida the past 12 seasons, will become the pitching coach.
