Domestic mobile telecommunication carriers -- such as SK Telecom, Korea Telecom M.com and LG Telecom -- have begun to spin off their internal venture companies and set up new development divisions targeting wireless Internet services.
Through strategic partnerships between their mother companies and equipment suppliers, these small wireless Internet ventures are concentrating on finalizing their developments so that they can commercialize their technology.
So far, SK Telecom seems to be ahead of the pack.
