Dec. 4--CITY HOLDING CO. TO ANNOUNCE NEW PRESIDENT: In June, City Holding Co.'s board of directors fired Steve Day, president and chief executive officer, after a series of failures at the company, including an 80 percent drop in stock price and a federal investigation of its main subsidiary, City National Bank.
In June, board members promised to find Day's replacement by October. Now, Phillip McLaughlin, board chairman, hopes to announce a new president by early next year.
"We had initially thought it would be finished earlier than it is now. We found we had some other things that we needed to do first," McLaughlin said.
