As is disclosed at the Rare Earth Strategic Seminar recently held in Baotou of Inner Mongolia, readjustments to the industrial structure in the rare earth sector have yielded initial results.
Wanton mining has been suppressed. Inner Mongolia, Sichuan and Jiangxi have strengthened overall management of rare earth minerals since last year. Inner Mongolia has established State owned Rare Earth Group and exercised overall control on Baotou rare earth concentrate mines whose output accounts for 60% of the national total.
