Article: XES to target digital printer market with cheaper machines.

PRINTER GROUP XES, the large-format engineering print specialist spun off from Xerox three years ago, is aiming to take its entry-range printers down a step into the smaller digital printer market, competing head-to-head with Hewlett-Packard.

The move is being driven by the growing trend for large engineering files to be transferred via web-based systems and then downloaded and printed by remote users -- rather than having a large number printed out centrally and distributed by a company's internal post system.
