Earlier this year feminine hygiene product manufacturer A-Fem Medical Corporation, Portland, OR, entered a joint venture agreement with Biex Corporation, Dublin, CA, to explore product development opportunities in complementary areas of women's healthcare. Full details about the venture were not disclosed, but both companies hope the agreement will help improve women's health. Biex develops products and services for the advancement of women's healthcare, while A-Fem is the maker of the inSyac" miniform, the "PadKit" sample collection system and "Rapid-Sense" diagnostics.
