FORT COLLINS -- Jason Waneka had no desire to give Boulder's Daniel Lennon a birthday present. Instead, he gave the gift to his Centaurus teammates.
Waneka, ranked No. 4 in the state at 152 pounds, pinned the third-ranked Lennon in 3 minutes, 58 seconds of their Class 5A, Region 2 championship match at Fort Collins High School. Lennon, who turned 19 Saturday, still qualifies for this week's state tournament at McNichols Sports Arena.
Waneka's victory sewed up the regional championship for No. 2 Centaurus, which scored 192.5 points. No. 3 Loveland took second with 173 points, unranked Rocky ...
