MANAGUA, Nicaragua -- Like most of the desperately poor people who live at the edge of Lake Managua, Enrique Duarte has heard the government warnings against eating contaminated fish.
But Duarte says he and his family are too hungry to pay attention.
``Of course it worries me'' that the fish might make them all sick, Duarte says. Nonetheless, he has come with his brothers to fish off the end of a drainage pipe that dumps Managua city sewage into the murky brown lake. ``But where else can I get food?''
