GLENDALE -- Vowing to ``take back the city,'' three members of the Glendale Tea Party Monday announced their candidacies for City Council.
Kay Parker, Chris Perry and Jay Balano, who made joint announcements in a press conference at Leow's Giorgio Hotel, said they would run as a slate campaigning against the ``political machine'' of Mayor Joe Rice.
The Glendale Tea Party is a political alliance of Glendale residents and business and property owners who say Rice's administration is arrogant and intimidating and is anti-business, especially against the city's liquor and topless establishments.
