Two Denver Jewish leaders reacted strongly to the just-released Vatican document asking forgiveness for Catholic failures to stop the Holocaust.
Rabbi Hillel Goldberg, executive editor of the Intermountain Jewish News, described himself as ``very moved'' by the language of repentance.
``This is obviously an important effort. I never expected to hear it,'' said Goldberg, who spent 12 years in Israel and completed his doctorate there.
But Goldberg, like Saul Rosenthal, regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, said the document falls short in many ways.
