Bethe Feltman has spent her life around children.
She taught Sunday school at her church. She belonged to a group that supported families with services such as meals after the birth of a baby. She spent years as a middle school math teacher, often helping students well past dinnertime - on her own time.
``Sometimes I'd see her leaving at 6 o'clock and I'd say, `Bethe, you're not getting overtime, you know,' and she'd say, `I'm doing it for the kids,' '' said the Rev. James Rasby, formerly of Denver's St. Vincent DePaul school, where Feltman taught.
