Working women, take this advice: Ask what your male co-worker makes.
The answer may make you angry. And it may also give you the ammunition to get the pay you deserve.
That was the message on Friday, Equal Pay Day.
Representatives from several groups gathered at the Wynkoop Brewing Co. in lower downtown to publicize Equal Pay Day. The brewpub promised to give a 26 percent lunchtime discount to working women who mentioned ``equal pay.''
The U.S. Census Bureau reports that women nationally earn 74 cents for each dollar a man earns. The averages are worse for black women, who ...
