East High School is one of 10 teams to reach the championship round of a national competition on the U.S. Constitution.
Teams of students representing 50 states testified on constitutional issues in simulated congressional hearings in Washington. The contest was held over the weekend at the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill. The final round of competition is today.
The students were questioned by a panel that included judges, law professors and lawyers.
