KUVO 89.3 FM kicks off its Destination Freedom / Black Radio Days series Sunday with the live production of The Heart of George Cotton.
The show will be performed live at 7:30 p.m. Sunday before a studio audience at KUVO, 2900 Welton St. Sunday's production tells the stories of pioneering black heart surgeons Daniel Hale Williams and Ulysses Grant Dailey.
The series is based on original radio scripts by the late Chicago writer Dick Durham.
No Credits Productions acquired the rights to produce 12 of Durham's scripts from his radio series Destination Freedom, which was broadcast from ...
