Bigger is still better, even when you're already one of the largest discount liquor stores in the country.
Applejack Liquors had outgrown its roughly 28,000-square-foot store at West 32nd Avenue and Youngfield Street in Wheat Ridge, but moving was out of the question.
The 37-year-old business, which has been at its present location since 1974, has great visibility from Interstate 70, said co-owner Jim Shpall. ``People know where we are and they come to us from all over the metro area.''
Moving, in addition, is not so simple when the state only allows a person to hold one liquor store ...
