A year ago the San Francisco Giants were in turmoil.
Third baseman Matt Williams had been traded to Cleveland, and outfielder Barry Bonds was upset, demanding a trade and questioning the commitment of team management to fielding a winner.
This year, with the Giants coming off a National League West championship, Bonds is singing a much more serene tune.
