The love affair between Mark McGwire and Coors Field has been brief, but torrid. In four games at Coors Field last season, McGwire hit four home runs.
The relationship enters its second year today when McGwire and his St. Louis Cardinals come to town for the Rockies' home opener.
``It's such a great setting,'' said McGwire, 34, remembering his brief courtship in the four-game stand last September. ``Everything is just fabulous about it. Granted, the ball carries well there, but it's just the setting. It's gorgeous.''
But mostly, the ball carries well there.
