Contrary to popular belief, Saturday Night Live did not make the name mango a household word.
Or maybe it did. But mango (the kind that grows on trees, not the exotic dancer) has long been a hot seller in places from the Caribbean to India. It's become so popular in America that produce buyers say they believe it will soon be a staple at the grocery store.
How did this fruit sneak up on us? The answer is threefold - first, the increased flow of travelers to Mexico and other southern latitudes, who have sampled it on cruises or foreign trips; second, the increase in popularity of Caribbean ...
