ICAHN SEEKS NEW FLIGHT ATTENDANT CONCESSIONS;

UNION RETAINS TOP MEDIATOR/NEGOTIATOR

NEW YORK, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Two years after the Flight Attendant strike of 1986 Carl Icahn, Trans World Airlines chairman, has made a new proposal to the Flight Attendant Union, the Independent Federation of Flight Attendants (IFFA). The proposed pact, featuring no pay increase for five years and further provisions calculated to weaken the union, is seen by IFFA President Vicki Frankovich as a "vindictive demand."
