Robert Olson conducted the festival orchestra in Mahler's Symphony No. 10 on Saturday at Macky Auditorium, Boulder. The program will be repeated at 3:30 p.m. today. Information: 494-1632.
Mahler's Symphony No. 10 isn't Mahler's. At least, most of it isn't. Which is a problem.
Left incomplete at his death in 1911, the 10th remained in scraps, sketches, semi-completed pages and at least one mostly finished movement - enough clues and ideas to provide material for numerous scholars to assemble the pieces into something resembling a whole.
