Oscar De La Hoya, the World Boxing Council super lightweight champion, had several anxious moments during Friday night's fight in Atlantic City, N.J. - and he wasn't even in the ring. After the sixth round of Pernell Whitaker's WBC welterweight title defense against 10-1 underdog Diobelys Hurtado, De La Hoya passed through the working press section and said, with a smile, ``I'd better go to Whitaker's corner and give him some advice.'' De La Hoya might have been smiling to keep from crying, because at that point Whitaker had been knocked down twice and appeared in danger of blowing a major-money match against De La Hoya set for April 12 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. ...
