Here are some yard and garden tasks that can be done this weekend:
* Plant peas, onion plants or sets, radishes, beets, carrots, parsnips and other root crops. Lightly cover them with vermiculite or pulverized compost to prevent the soil from baking and to make germination easier.
* If you didn't have the lawn mower blade sharpened last fall, get it done before mowing begins. A sharp blade makes a cleaner cut and reduces fraying of the grass blades.
* Remove tree wrap from young deciduous trees. That will allow the bark to breathe naturally and ...
