NEW YORK -- World chess champion Garry Kasparov said Friday he had recovered from his stunning defeat only days ago by the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue and wanted to play the machine again before the end of the year in a winner-takes-all match.
Kasparov told Reuters he was prepared to play the match in September or October in New York, but under different conditions from the six-game contest that ended painfully and bitterly for him Sunday and gloriously for a team of computer scientists.
