Byline: Brad Byler Special to the Rocky Mountain News
Back when they were teen-agers, Theresa Echtermeyer and Beth Moore were teammates on a Denver-area club soccer team that won five consecutive titles in the 1980s.
Tuesday night, the two will meet for the first time since those formative years as coaches in the Class 5A girls state championship game, but only one will walk away with a title this time.
Echtermeyer leads the Green Mountain Rams (16-2), a 3-1 semifinal winner over top-ranked and unbeaten Horizon.
Moore coaches the surprising Rocky Mountain Lobos (14-5), a 1-0 overtime victor over Northglenn, in the other semifinal game.
