The Atlanta Braves open a three-game series at Coors Field tonight, and the Colorado Rockies are looking forward to the challenge.
And that's a sign of how far the Rockies have come.
The Rockies still have a strong measure of respect for the Braves, but Colorado no longer is intimidated. The Rockies' lack of confidence against the Braves began to disappear in the opening round of the 1995 National League playoffs and continued to fade in 1996,when the Rockies won a season series from Atlanta for the first time.
