BETHESDA, Md. -- It's been a long time since a U.S. Open champion came to defend his title with so little hoopla surrounding his arrival.
Tiger Woods is the center of attention at Congressional Country Club, and that's just fine with defending champion Steve Jones.
``I don't play golf to get attention,'' said Jones, the University of Colorado product from Yuma who edged close friend Tom Lehman to win the Open last year at Oakland Hills. ``If there was a way to just play golf and not have the attention part of it, that would be fine with me.''
