PHNOM PENH, Cambodia -- Enraged by news of an election defeat in 1993, Hun Sen raised a television set above his head and hurled it across a room.
After the drubbing of his Cambodian People's Party, he bullied his way into a coalition government - by threatening to drag Cambodia into civil war.
In the end, even sharing power wasn't enough. Hun Sen grabbed it all for himself in a bloodstained coup last weekend, ousting his co-premier, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, who won the 1993 election.
