When it comes to hurricanes, most tourism officials don't want to talk about the weather. They pretend the violent storms don't exist.
But, now, those in the Bahamas are taking a different tack. Their motto could be: Hurricanes happen.
The Bahamas sponsored the first Caribbean Weather Conference recently to confront the phenomenon directly.
