The fans have gathered, as they do each year, to pay homage to the king.
Picture long lines for tours of the estate. Candlelight vigils, tears and cheers. Professional impersonators and a postage stamp.
And Michael Jackson, yes, Michael Jackson on black velvet.
It'll happen. Just ask any one of the 100-or-so fans who showed up for Saturday's ``Michaelfest '97'' at the downtown Holiday Inn. They know who the king is, and they come from across the country and around the world annually to celebrate Jackson's birthday.
