The scars on his paws and another under his eye are the only visible reminders of Lucky's horrendous journey from would-be road kill to beloved family pet.
``I'm always looking out for limping,'' says Janet Fine, who adopted the 2-year-old shepherd-collie mix in February when he was still a pitiful mass of healing wounds. ``He does favor one leg, but it's never continuous. I think everything is pretty good.''
