Congress is mucking about with the Antiquities Act of 1906. Again. In recent decades almost any time a president uses this power to benefit the general public, Congress has twitters and fusses and voices vague threats.
This season, Utah's entire congressional delegation saws the air with frantic gestures. Members of the delegation authored bills in both the House and the Senate that would severely restrict a president's power to designate special segments of federal lands as national monuments.
