The Denver school board election has been uneventful, but the next few years won't be, as the district learns how to teach in neighborhood schools after the end of court-ordered busing last year.
The four board members who take office after Tuesday's election will oversee a district that's becoming more user-friendly. Parents now can choose a school, instead of being assigned one.
In many areas the schools are prospering as children come prepared to learn and parents are active in their education.
