Here's a fun party trick: Slip the new piano collection by Californian David Cope into your stereo system and play Guess the Composer.
Everyone will know that the first track is something by Bach. Cut 4? Beethoven, obviously - though your guests will stumble when asked to name the sonata being played. By the time you've given them a taste of the Joplin-style rag and Chopin-sounding Mazurka, someone in the room may catch on.
