Denizens of downtown noticed a blue and yellow big top rising in LoDo behind Union Station last week. It marks the arrival of Cirque du Soleil, a French Canadian performance that has amazed audiences around the world.
The production makes its Denver debut Tuesday.
The big top looks deceptively simple on the outside, a mid-sized circus tent that measures 60-feet high and 165-feet across. But inside are temperature controls, state of the art lights and sound, a stage and individual seating for 2,500.
It makes for one of the world's most unique and intimate entertainment experiences.
