Bear Creek and Boulder played their own versions of the great escape last week in winning Class 5A state quarterfinal football games.
The two powers square off at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christian Recht Field in Boulder, and each team hopes it won't have as difficult a time as last week. The winner advances to next week's championship game against either Arvada West or Ponderosa.
