BRITAIN'S food watchdog is satisfied with French controls on BSE, it has announced.
The Food Standards Agency said it would not be pressured into ordering a ban on French beef for the time being.
It added that its fact-finding mission to France last week had convinced it that the country's beef continued to pose "no greater risk" to British consumers than the home-reared equivalent.
