A Wheat Ridge start-up company's rechargeable electric batteries are getting a boost from Chrysler Corp.
The nation's No. 3 automaker is using a battery developed by Bolder Technologies Corp. for its Dodge Intrepid ESX concept car, a prototype diesel-electric vehicle unveiled Wednesday at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Although the battery technology was developed chiefly for power tools, the high-profile exposure at the nation's most important auto show comes as Bolder is gearing up to begin manufacturing products for the $4 billion rechargeable battery market.
