Standing on the faux leopard-skin carpeting, you have several options.
You can turn left into the formal dining room, which features an army of candles and an antique armoire fitted with a diamond-dust mirror. Or veer right into the living room, suffused with Ned Jacob oil paintings, a life-size wooden Buddha, a Victorian fainting couch, Javanese hand puppets, and two pineapple-shaped lamps.
Or, head straight for the kitchen, which features a basket with five ostrich eggs, stained-glass butterflies hovering from the ceiling and a sign that once marked the corner of Third Avenue and East 30th Street in New York City.
