PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers were down to crossed fingers Sunday at Three Rivers Stadium.
Again.
The AFC championship and a trip to the Super Bowl were on the line, on the final play, in the same end zone where Pittsburgh threw it all away a year ago.
As a "Hail Mary" pass from Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jim Harbaugh descended, so did a polar silence.
When the ball ricocheted through a thicket of Steelers' arms to Colts receiver Aaron Bailey, even die-hard Steelers fans were dying.
